We are not rocks unto ourselves. Independence can be a virtue. Self reliance, a noble trait to exhibit. But hyper-individuality and the go-it-alone mentality will not get you as far as will partnering and collaborating with other talented people to achieve something greater. A good lesson, especially in this day and age.
