Joe Biden, for 2024? If, it’s between him and the lying insurrectionist who tried to end American democracy, got caught, got indicted for it, will likely be convicted for it, and is trying to do it again? Well, hell yes, I’m going to vote for Joe “Cool” Biden All Day Long Baby!
Do I wish he was younger? Duh, yes, of course.
Do I kind of wish he had decided not to run and passed the torch to a field of younger candidates? Sure, but here we are. From his perspective, he probably had planned to just serve one term, if Donald Trump had gone away after losing in 2020. If the GOP leadership had had the guts to lead and spoken out more publicly and condemned Trump, to reflect the way that most of them felt in private, then it might have been different. Trump might be gone. From Biden’s perspective, the job isn’t finished, Trump has reared his ugly head and must be defeated again. He beat him once and he’ll do it again.
Silver lining, you can’t put a price tag on the kind of wisdom and experience that Joe Biden has.
I’ll take a guy like him all day long. Scranton, PA Joe, fighting for the working middle-class men and women of America his whole life. The guy who rode the train with regular commuters back and forth from his home in Delaware to D.C., so he could be at home with his family.
A champion fighting for women’s reproductive rights to control their own bodies.
Fighting to lower the cost of prescription drugs for all Americans.
Biden is steering the ship for the strongest economy and lowest unemployment in decades, getting us back on course following the botched mismanagement from the last guy. Remember Trump said it would all just magically go away, downplayed it, failed to lead and unite us, and in fact threw gas on the flames of hate and culture wars to divide our nation in a time of crisis.
Biden is defending our democracy at home and abroad. Standing up for American voters and certified election results against a wannabe authoritarian dictator and his enablers.
Joe Biden gets stuff done. He got a bipartisan infrastructure bill and gun safety legislation passed, which no one has been able to accomplish. He signed the CHIPS Act that strengthens our manufacturing and semi-conductor industry making us less dependent on China. He expanded benefits for Veterans exposed to toxic substances and signed legislation protecting marriage rights for interracial and LGBTQ couples. That’s a lot of good stuff there.
Biden is repairing relations with our allies after Trump dumped on them and cozied up to dictators. Trump insulted fellow world leaders within our military alliances and never stopped praising murderous dictators like Putin and Kim Jongh Un as great and smart. He would always give them the benefit of the doubt over American intelligence. With the things he says and does it’s like Trump has lead poisoning or something. Or Putin just grabbed him by groin, or maybe both.
Joe “Cool” Biden is a lifelong moderate, supports law and order, the rule of law, and respects and honors our military and those working in our vital institutions. Unlike Trump who disparages the leaders of our armed forces and demonizes and attacks the patriotic, hard-working men and women serving in the FBI and other law enforcement.
Years of investigations have turned up zero evidence linking Biden to any wrongdoing involving alleged illegal foreign business dealings with his son. Hunter, who has had documented personal problems and substance abuse issues, is being held accountable, by a special DOJ prosecutor, for lying on a gun purchase form. No crimes were committed with that firearm though, and almost no one has ever been federally charged with this statute. So I know all the 2nd Amendment folks will run to his defense. He’s also accused of tax evasion, which is not acceptable either, but no one knows more about that than Donald Trump and his organization, of course. I mean, he’s the King of asset inflation and tax fraud but no Republicans in the House of Reps are talking about any of that now, are they?
And now the “Freedom Caucus” confederacy of clowns are trying to muddy the water and impeach Biden (wait, for what???) without any evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors. Freedom Caucus, that’s funny, I wish we could have some freedom from their ironic, BS-whining about the weaponization of government, their what-about-isms, and their tired excuses for a failed sore-loser former President.
But the far-right MAGA Republicans in the House of Representatives are diving down every rabbit hole to dig up dirt on Sleepy Joe and his “crime family”. If the Bidens are the “crime family”, then my family is the Saudi Royal Family and I own a 300-foot yaught. Let’s also not forget the very real shady influence-peddling between the Trumps-Kushners and the Saudis. Ivanka and Jarrod actually served in her father’s administration and had regular access to Top Secret information that could be used to sweeten any future dealings. So give me a damn break, stop wasting our time and your salaries, with your wild goose chase of Joe Biden.
The MAGA caucus of chaos agents, kooks, and conspiracy theorists in congress will do anything for Dear Leader Trump. But they won’t engage in any serious work or anything resembling good governing on behalf of the American people. And now the only productivity we’re getting from the do-nothing-extremists is their round-the-clock effort to shut down the government and block the defense department budget. Great job, thanks morons.
If GOP leadership were smart – and they’re not – they would have listened to Liz Cheney a long time ago, banded together, laid out the truth to the American people following his loss and the insurrection of Jan. 6th, and been done with him. They could have. But they’re all lemmings. Most of them know what a worthless, terrible person and sociopathic liar Donald is, they just won’t admit it publicly, because they’re scared. But they helped create the monster. They helped feed him and watched him grow, and now he’s loose again, running across the land, destroying as much as he can. The monster is slowly being surrounded and will be captured soon, hopefully, by the American Justice Department.
If My Kevin and his lieutenants had any courage or leadership abilities they would have gotten behind one or two of the other candidates for 2024. But they do not possess anything resembling courage. They are opportunistic, fearful, followers. Trump is clearly a political liability in the general election or any other election for that matter, but again, smart is not factoring into this.
Again, compare the steady, responsible leadership of Joe “Cool” Biden and his accomplishments to the gas bag-defeated-insurrectionist-multi-indicted, sexually assaulting former President. Compare the calm and measured drama-free approach to governing by President Biden to the chaotic, whining, divisive, and vengeance-fueled Trump campaign that courts the support of right-wing hate groups. His is a desperate campaign to stay out of jail, filled with threats of violence and jailing of his political opponents. Seriously? You want round two of that loser? Is there any other logical choice, if it comes down again to an election between these two again? It’s Sleepy Joe “Cool” Biden all day long baby!
I’m 47 years old, active, chronically sleep-deprived, and very busy….. hell I get sleepy too sometimes. Imagine running around, getting all of that stuff done all day long – meetings and phone calls to protect the American worker, women’s reproductive rights, democracy, and the environment – AND trying to save the world from evil dictators abroad and wannabe tyrants and cult leaders back home? Man, you would get tired too sometimes, and need a nap. Sounds fair to me.
Hell, you can’t seriously be worried about Biden being too old and still support Trump who is only three years younger and clearly in worse physical shape? I mean, seriously have you seen him lately, wobbling around, sweating, bumbling, and mumbling his way through interviews? His legal troubles seem to be really taking a toll on him physically. In all seriousness, with his weight – I mean his real weight which is probably closer to 260 plus lbs, not his lying-for-his-mugshot weight of 215 (that’s pretty funny) – the guy could suffer a major heart attack any moment. Seriously. That would be unfortunate and very sad for his family, but it’s a very real possibility, and you can’t ignore it. So let’s not talk about the health and stamina of Joe Biden, as long as Trump is the overwhelming choice of GOP voters.
There is no doubt Joe Biden has a lot on his plate. He is non-stop man, busy working for the American people and handling it with class. He is a tough old codger. I’m pretty sure he’s just warming up for the 2024 election fight. If this rematch remains on the bout card, my money is on Sleepy Scranton Joe “Cool” to win it again, with a knockout at the end of round two on November 5, 2024. Just so happens the election will fall on our anniversary next year, so it will be an exciting night, no doubt. Go Joe Go!
