The FBI search and seizure of numerous boxes of Presidential papers (and by most accounts top secret documents) at Mara Lago today should come as no surprise to anyone. Trump was told not to take boxes of classified documents to Florida when he lost the election and left D.C. with his tail between his legs. But when has he listened to anyone with any common sense, lately? He knew it was illegal to do so, he knew he was violating the Presidential Records Act. Just like he knew it was illegal to conspire to overthrow a free, fair, and certified election long after it was known and established fact that he had lost “Bigly and Hugely”………
It should come as no surprise to anyone watching the work of the Jan. 6 Committee hearings, listening to the sworn testimony of Republicans who have laid out damning fact after damning fact implicating Trump. And if you haven’t been listening or paying attention, that’s on you and it doesn’t change the reality of the situation.

- Conspiring and pressuring to have Georgia and other state officials throw out legally cast votes and “find 11K + votes”. They call that cheating.
- Conspiring to establish fake and illegal slates of electors to overthrow the will of the American people.
- Dereliction of duty in knowingly allowing a fire-armed mob of rioters to march to the Capitol and jeopardize the lives of hundreds of American lawmakers and their staff.
- And dereliction of duty for over three hours as the Capitol was being attacked, as police officers were being brutalized by Trump’s armed mob.
That was Donald Trump, the fascist hero to MAGA-cult nation; the single biggest traitor to the Constitution that we have ever seen in our nearly 250 year history.
It’s difficult to not laugh really fricking hard at Trump’s idiot stooges in Congress like Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, and Lindsay Graham who are still defending him. These hypocrites who made such a big deal about some of Hillary’s emails that got deleted. There wasn’t jack there, there never was, as was borne out through investigations.
But our faithful, patriotic, and dutiful “Strong and Huge” FBI agents, backed up by the Justice Department, and approved by a Federal Judge who green-lighted the executed search warrant, today came for the goods at the home of our thoroughly corrupt, twice impeached, and totally disgraced crooked ex-president. This was a completely legitimate law enforcement action that was prompted by the negligence and malfeasants of one Donald J. Trump. There is zero chance that AG Garland and the federal judge would have signed off on it unless they were certain there was highly important material inside.
No one is above the law. For cowards and conspirators in the United States of America, the blood hounds of accountability typically and methodically sniff out and eventually find their mark. When will the Republican Party once again respect the Rule of Law, support ALL of our law enforcement agencies (including the FBI and Capitol Police) and demand justice for those who act with impunity and think they are above the Law? When will these leaders once again call for civility, calm, and cooler heads? Don’t hold your breath. Other than Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzenger, Gov. Larry Hogan, and a handful of defeated, retired, and soon to be defeated GOP lawmakers with backbones, the Republican Party has devolved into a clown car full of election deniers, cultists, cowards, fear-mongering bullies, and QAnon quacks.
For those in the Solid Center and the logic & fact-based two thirds of the country, ignore the BS and distractions and noise, and listen to the facts as they develop. Follow the methodical course of action of law enforcement agencies doing their jobs and defending our democracy, and have faith that Justice will come for the crooked and the corrupt. No one is above the law, even Donald Trump.
